Former F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve claimed his first Euro NASCAR podiums at the weekend (11-12 May), at the Autodromo di Franciacorta in Italy. And fans will have a chance to see him race on British soil next month when the championship arrives at Brands Hatch for its only UK round on 1-2 June.
The Canadian, in just his second weekend in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, claimed third place in the opening race of the weekend, just three seconds behind the race winner, Alon Day, with Marc Goossens just ahead in second.
If that wasn't enough, the 1997 F1 Champion backed up his performance with another top-three result in the second contest on Sunday. Villeneuve's podium came after an intense battle with Loris Hezemans, while Day claimed his second win of the event.
"With Loris we had a really intense battle," said Villeneuve. "My car was really good in the corners. There was too much blocking going on. In the States he would have been in the wall in two corners! Apart from that, the racing was a lot of fun."
Villeneuve's string of podiums means he heads to the next event for the series, the sensational American SpeedFest VII at Brands Hatch on 1-2 June, sixth in the overall standings.
As well as the superb USA-themed racing action across the two days, SpeedFest will provide thrills for all the family with incredible show car and motorcycle areas, a live action arena featuring monster trucks and stunt shows, live music, driving experiences, themed food areas, the Demon Drome 'Wall of Death', driver autograph sessions and much more!
Tickets are available in advance from £19 for adults, with discounted rates for teenagers aged 13-15, and free entry for children aged under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
