Kent-based Ford dealer Haynes has partnered with American SpeedFest 8, ahead of the popular US-themed event’s return to Brands Hatch this weekend (3/4 July). As part of the arrangement, Haynes will supply two key operational vehicles for the race meeting at the Kent circuit.
A 5.0-litre, Mach 1 Ford Mustang V8 will act as the safety car for the meeting, including leading the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series car around the circuit during warm up laps and caution periods in four races across the weekend.
The second cars in this year’s line-up will be the Ford Ranger utility vehicle which will be used as the Course Car. You’ll be able to see this car take to the circuit between race sessions throughout the weekend.
A spokesman from Haynes Ford said: “Haynes Ford, Kent’s First Ford dealer are pleased to support American SpeedFest 2021.”
David Willey, Motorsport Events Manager, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Haynes Ford at the eighth edition of American SpeedFest. Fans will be able to see the latest Ford Mustang Mach 1 in action as the official American SpeedFest Safety Car, together with the Ford Ranger as Course Car, providing support for our MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) race officials on-track during the course of the weekend.”
