American SpeedFest will return in spectacular style with a switch to Independence Day weekend next year, when the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series returns to the venue following this year’s enforced absence, on 3/4 July 2021.

Brands Hatch's annual NASCAR-headlined extravaganza, American SpeedFest, has sadly been cancelled for 2020. All ticket-holders for this year's event will be written to very soon with details on how to manage their booking online, including information on how to claim a full refund or to carry their booking across to 2021.

Following the Prime Minister's UK address to the nation on 23 March in relation to the latest developments of the COVID-19 situation, Motorsport UK has extended its suspension of car racing permits until at least 30 June. American SpeedFest 8 has therefore been postponed, and a new date will be announced for later in the year when we hope restrictions will be lifted.

Former F1 and touring car racer Gianni Morbidelli is the latest big name driver to commit to a season in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, after agreeing a deal to race for CAAL Racing in this year's championship which visits Brands Hatch for American SpeedFest 8 on 6-7 June.
